Follow these steps carefully
Open the hood and locate the rectangular air filter housing box, usually near the front of the engine bay on the driver's side. Informational DIY. EZ Car Fix is not a shop.
Release the metal clips or unfasten the latches securing the air filter box lid. Some models use screws — use the appropriate screwdriver or socket.
Lift the lid and carefully remove the old air filter. Note the orientation so the new filter goes in the same direction (filter pleats typically face the engine).
Wipe out any leaves, dirt, or debris from inside the air filter box with a clean rag or vacuum. A dirty housing will immediately contaminate the new filter.
Place the new air filter into the housing, matching the orientation of the old one. Ensure it seats flat with no gaps around the edges.
Reinstall the lid, ensuring the tabs align properly. Reconnect the clips, latches, or screws. Start the engine and verify there are no unusual sounds or air leaks.
Test your repair before closing everything up. If something doesn't work right, double-check your steps.
