The service
EZ Car Fix publishes free do-it-yourself auto repair guides, articles, and videos organized by make, model, and year, and runs a community forum where owners and mechanics exchange repair advice.
Informational DIY only
Guides, videos, and articles are provided as-is for education. EZ Car Fix does not sell repairs, inspect your vehicle, or certify that a procedure matches a factory manual for your exact trim or year.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your vehicle, tools, parts, and safety. Do not start a job if you cannot confirm torque, fluids, or part numbers from a source you trust. Unverified values are withheld from public guides. If a step conflicts with your factory service manual, follow the manual.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when registering, and you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done under your account.
- One account per person. Accounts used for spam, scraping, harassment, or any unlawful purpose may be suspended or deleted without notice.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
Forum content and conduct
- Your content stays yours. By posting a question, answer, or comment, you grant EZ Car Fix a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content on the site. You can delete your posts from your account page.
- Play fair. No spam, no harassment, no posting other people's personal information, and no advice you know to be wrong. Repair advice that could get someone hurt will be removed.
- Mechanics. Users marked as verified mechanics have had their trade credentials checked by us. Their answers are still opinions for informational purposes, not a substitute for inspecting your vehicle.
- We may edit, move, or remove any content that violates these terms, at our discretion.
Intellectual property
Guides, articles, design, and code on EZ Car Fix are owned by us or our licensors. You are welcome to link to any public page and to share short excerpts with attribution. Republishing full guides, or scraping the site in bulk, is not allowed without written permission.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on EZ Car Fix are affiliate links, including links to Amazon as part of the Amazon Associates program. If you buy through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions help keep the guides free.
Advertising
The site may display advertising served by Google AdSense or other third-party ad networks. Ad content is the responsibility of the advertiser, and clicking an ad is subject to the advertiser's own terms. No warranty
The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. EZ Car Fix is not liable for damage, injury, failed repairs, or time lost following a guide. Related YouTube clips are reused across many vehicles and may not match your year.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EZ Car Fix and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which for the free site is zero.
Indemnification
