The 2007–2010 Outlook shares its Lambda platform with the Enclave, Acadia, and Traverse, and the cabin filter procedure is the same — the filter sits behind the glovebox. Empty the glovebox and confirm the new filter matches the application for the Outlook 3.6L. Open the passenger door for working room.
Detach the glovebox damper arm and squeeze the glovebox sides to clear the stops, lowering it fully. Support it as it comes down so no trim snaps. The rectangular filter access door is now exposed on the HVAC case.
Unclip the access door and slide the old filter out horizontally, noting its airflow arrow direction. The video notes this is a quick and easy DIY — no tools are required beyond maybe slip-joint pliers if a clip is stubborn. Keep the old filter level so debris stays out of the blower.
