Follow these steps carefully
Disconnect the negative battery cable on the Toyota Highlander (important if side airbags are in the door). Pry off trim caps, remove door-panel screws, and carefully unclip the panel. Unplug window/lock switches and the handle cable. Wear gloves and eye protection.
Tape the window glass in the up position or support it with a suction cup/block. Peel back the watershield carefully so it can be reused. Locate the regulator rails, motor, and glass channel bolts on the Toyota Highlander door.
Lower the glass slightly if needed (temporarily reconnect power) to access the glass-clamp bolts, then support the glass and remove those bolts. Lift and tape the glass fully up out of the way inside the Toyota Highlander door.
Unplug the window motor connector. Remove the regulator mounting bolts and fish the assembly out through the access opening. Compare the new regulator/motor to the old one for the Toyota Highlander.
Fish the new regulator into the door, start all mounting bolts, and torque to spec. Reconnect the motor plug. Align the glass into the clamps, install bolts, and verify smooth travel before final torque on the Toyota Highlander.
Refit the watershield, reconnect switches/cables, and reinstall the door panel. Reconnect the battery. Test one-touch up/down and pinch protection; perform the window initialization procedure if the Toyota Highlander requires it after regulator service.
Test your repair before closing everything up. If something doesn't work right, double-check your steps.
