Park the 2017–2024-2024 Audi A4/Q5 on level ground and allow the turbo and exhaust to cool completely — burns are common. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Wear gloves and eye protection. Support the vehicle if underbody access is required.
Remove the engine cover, intake tubing, and charge/boost pipes connected to the turbo on the 2017–2024-2024 Audi A4/Q5. Label vacuum/solenoid hoses and electrical connectors (wastegate, VGT, speed sensor). Remove heat shields and exhaust downpipe fasteners as needed.
