Follow these steps carefully
Note: verified for 2017-2025 (KF generation); the redesigned 2026 model's filter location is unconfirmed - check your owner's manual. Open the passenger glove box and remove everything from it.
The damper arm on the right side wall of the glove box slows its fall. Slide it to the right to disconnect it.
Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward to release the stop tabs, then let it swing down fully.
Behind it you will see the rectangular filter access door in the HVAC housing. Release it (lift/pull the hook or tab) and remove the door.
Slide the old filter out, noting which way the airflow arrow points.
Slide the new filter in with the airflow arrow pointing the same direction as the old one.
Reinstall the access door, lift the glove box back up, and reconnect the damper arm on the right side.
Test your repair before closing everything up. If something doesn't work right, double-check your steps.
