Safety Prep

Turn off engine and all accessories. Remove jewelry. Put on safety glasses.

Disconnect Negative First

Always remove negative (black) terminal FIRST. Loosen 10mm nut and wiggle terminal off. Keep away from positive.

Disconnect Positive

Remove positive (red) terminal. Remove battery hold-down bracket.

Remove Old Battery

Lift battery straight up. Batteries are heavy (40+ lbs) - use proper lifting technique.

Clean Terminals
