Follow these steps carefully
Turn on the tail lights and have a helper press the brake and operate the turn signal. Note whether a tail, brake, or turn filament (or LED section) is out on the affected side. Check the fuse if multiple rear lamps are dark.
Open the trunk/hatch. Remove the access cover, carpet flap, or exterior housing fasteners for the affected side. Support the lamp if you unbolt the whole assembly so wiring is not strained.
Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull it out, or unbolt/unclip the LED module if equipped. Pull a wedge bulb straight out of the socket. Note bulb number and orientation.
Match the bulb number (e.g., 3157, 7443, 1157) or OEM LED module. Seat the new bulb fully without touching halogen glass with bare fingers. Align LED boards and connectors exactly as removed.
Refit the socket/module until locked, restore covers and fasteners, then test tail, brake, and turn functions. Confirm the housing seal is seated so water cannot enter the trunk or lamp.
Test your repair before closing everything up. If something doesn't work right, double-check your steps.
