Follow these steps carefully
Turn on hazard lights and steer the Jeep Wrangler fully off the travel lane onto firm, level ground. Set the parking brake and place the transmission in Park (or in gear for manuals). Have all passengers exit to a safe area away from traffic.
Chock the wheel diagonally opposite the flat. Retrieve the jack, lug wrench, and spare from their storage locations on the Jeep Wrangler. If you have oversized tires, confirm you have any required jack spacer/block.
On the Jeep Wrangler: with the flat still on the ground, pry off the center cap if needed and crack each lug nut loose about a half-turn. Do not remove them yet — the wheel must not spin while you break torque.
Place the jack only under the manufacturer lift point for that corner of the Jeep Wrangler. Raise until the flat tire clears the ground. Never place any part of your body under a vehicle supported only by a jack.
On the Jeep Wrangler: remove the lug nuts and the flat. Mount the spare, seating it on the hub pilots. Install lug nuts by hand so they are not cross-threaded, then snug them in a star pattern while the wheel hangs slightly.
