Follow these steps carefully
Open the glovebox and remove all contents. If there is a damper strut on one side, unclip it. Squeeze the sides (or release stops) so the glovebox drops fully open.
Behind the glovebox, locate the cabin filter cover/door. Release the clips or screws and remove the cover. Keep fasteners handy.
Slide the old filter straight out. It is often dusty or moldy — bag it immediately. Wipe loose debris from the housing with a clean cloth or vacuum.
Compare the new filter to the old one. The airflow arrow on most filters points down or toward the blower — match the arrow direction marked on the housing.
Slide the new filter fully into the housing until seated. Do not force an oversized filter; a poor seal lets unfiltered air bypass.
Reinstall the filter cover until clips click. Reconnect the damper if removed, push the glovebox back onto its stops, and reload contents. Run the fan and check for unusual noise.
Test your repair before closing everything up. If something doesn't work right, double-check your steps.
