Follow these steps carefully
Park the good vehicle close enough for the cables to reach both batteries, but do not let the vehicles touch. Turn off both engines and all accessories.
Connect one end of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery. The positive terminal is usually marked with a plus or red cover.
Connect the other end of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of the good battery.
Connect one black clamp to the good battery's negative (-) terminal. Connect the other black clamp to a clean, bare metal ground on the dead car's engine block — not the negative terminal.
Start the good car, wait a minute, then start the dead car. Let it run several minutes. Remove cables in reverse: black from ground, black from good, red from good, red from dead.
Test your repair before closing everything up. If something doesn't work right, double-check your steps.
