CRV 2013 weird sound when accelerating

It depends on what the sound is like. Common causes include:

High-pitched squeal: a worn or loose belt, or a pulley.
Metallic rattle or ping: a loose heat shield or exhaust part; a pinging knock can also come from the engine.
Hissing or whooshing: a possible air or exhaust leak.
Deep rhythmic knocking: potentially serious internal engine trouble.

Notice whether it changes with engine RPM, happens only while moving, or comes with shaking, loss of power, warning lights, or a burning smell. If it’s a heavy knock, or the car is losing power or overheating, stop driving and get it checked. Otherwise, arrange an inspection soon, especially if the sound is new or getting louder.
